Thank you for stopping by. My name is Sarah, spelt Sara, just to be confusing. If you read Sara as Sarah in the first place, nice one; ten points to you.
Home for me right now, is South London. I have a passion for music and am forever wishing I could play the trumpet. I actually own one, but have only mastered half of frere jacques and it’s not even the good half.
I have been documenting weddings for over five years now and have been fortunate enough to capture the celebrations of wonderful couples all over the UK and Europe.
In 2019 I was named as one of the 30 Rising Stars by New York’s Rangefinder Magazine, which was a great honour. My work has also been nominated for Europe’s Best Wedding Photographer as part of Way Up North Awards, and Bodaf’s new talent award…this may not mean much, but it’s the stuff that makes my Mum proud.
My aim is to capture true and un-inhibited images. The real and candid moments full of soul. For me that is how best to tell the story and capture how wonderful it all felt, not just how beautiful it all looked.
Timeless cinematic romance, with a touch of music photography grit. Sounds like an oxymoron, it probably is, but it works.
So here, I should probably tell you all about my photography journey, but truth is I did not always aspire to be a photographer. It actually found me...via a random lady, a dimly lit room and a pack of cards. A story best told over a beer or two. It’s not your typical route into the art form, but I’ve been told it’s a good story nonetheless.
In short, this small business of mine is a happy accident, that was built off a love of meeting and connecting with new people. I am thankful for the journey it’s taken me on so far, and I continue to look forward to where it may lead.
